• From M8 at Glasgow Airport: Travel time 25 minutes.
• Take M8 motorway from the Airport in a West direction as directed to "Greenock". After 3 miles take what is the first exit leaving the M8 onto the M898 sign posted Erskine Bridge.
• Go over the Erskine Bridge and on to the A82 heading West to Dumbarton. Continue on A82 past Dumbarton for about 9 miles crossing 2 roundabouts. The last 3 miles is a fast 2 lane road.
• At the third roundabout (Stoneymallon) there is a signpost to the right marked Balloch and Stirling A811.
• Go past Balloch village crossing two roundabouts. (Supermarket is by the second roundabout).
• Continue for about 1.5 miles - just past a farm building on the left there is a sharp right bend marked with >>>>>> signs.
• Immediately before this bend there is a turning Left off the main road marked Scottish Water.
• Take this turning and proceed past the Water Works. You will see our sign Lorn Mill Cottages under PRIVATE ROAD notice - follow private unsurfaced farm track for about ½ mile through woodland before a brilliant view of Loch Lomond - the track descends down to The Lorn on your right.
